Todd Moyer, owner and operator of Shade, was raised in the "plant world." Many of his favorite childhood memories were created on his fathers nursery, chasing deer through the trees with his brothers, and helping his father work while being surrounded by plants and shrubs. It was always his dream to own his own nursery.
Raised in the nursery and landscaping environment, he truly believed in the importance of providing top-quality plant materials to the landscape industry and took pride in that desire. His dream was realized after a period of working in different areas of the landscape field.
After running his own landscaping company and discovering a significant need for a local provider of top-quality trees and shrubs, he went back to work at his father's nursery. It was there in 2015 he met JJ Lund. JJ went from client to friend and eventually the idea emerged for a great partnership that leveraged the strengths of both parties. It was a recipe for success — two hardworking gingers, inspired and ready for an adventure — and Shade Landscape Supply was created. Todd Moyer - Todd Moyer is always smiling, which is no surprise since he is surrounded by beautiful flowers, trees and shrubs all day. He loves to create and to watch something he has developed grow and flourish. His hard work and desire to succeed drive him to constantly adapt, learn and grow. He enjoys spending his days working outside, breathing in the freshest air all around him.
JJ Lund - JJ Lund has several years experience growing and managing a large construction and landscaping company, and as one of the founders of Shade Landscape Supply, he focuses on the financing and underwriting of the growth of the company.
Gareth Cooley - Gareth Cooley is a plant lover and veritable encyclopedia of botanical information. For the last 12 years he has been serving the Intermountain area as a specialist in growing perennials, grasses, and native and xeric plants, including specialty plants for Red Butte Gardens. He has worked in both retail and wholesale nursery operations in Utah. He also grows bedding annuals, decorative containers and hanging baskets, as well as vegetables. His is a labour of love as he uses his talents of growing and extensive knowledge for all to appreciate.
Adam Bishop - Adam Bishop has over 10 years experience as well as a degree from BYU in horticulture. He has a deep understanding of caring for trees and working with clients as an owner of a boutique landscaping contractor.
